On a cold breezy eve or a chilled frosty morning we all find comfort in a lovely warm knitted sweater or crocheted comfy blanket. This warm feeling takes us back to the memory lane of our grandparents their affectionate love and comfort. Whether it be knitted garments, crocheted accessories or home decorative, it always adds to the amiable feeling of affection and fondness of our loved ones to make our home a sweet home.
The craft of knitting and crocheting has its origin hundreds of long years ago. Although both the craft are very much similar to each other other, knitting and crocheting have their own differences compared to each other.
Their charming looks.
If we compare a same size of knitted fabric and crocheted fabric we can simply spot the visible difference by its appearance. The knitted fabric stitches appear smaller with more number of rows and columns of stitches compared to crocheted stitches where they appear larger with less number of rows and columns of stitches.
Difference in tools used.
Two needles with pointed edge are used for knitting whereas a single tool with a hook at the head is used for crocheting a fabric.
